SEMA 2016 Day 1

Written by
This year marks the 50th anniversary for the SEMA Show at the Las Vegas Nevada Convention Center. SEMA (Specialty Equipment Manufacturers Association) is the Automotive Industry's premiere aftermarket show that gives manufacturers and builders

an audience of over 50,000 industry buyers and car enthusiasts from around the world. SEMA is the organization that fights State and Federal political battles to keep the automotive aftermarket businesses alive. Check out the SEMA Action Network (SAN) at http://www.SEMASAN.com

Throughout the week, we'll bring you photos and articles on new products, incredible SEMA cars, Manufacturer displays, and much more. There are literally hundreds of manufacturer booths with some large enough to hold 20+ cars with demonstrations and more while others are 10x10 boths. Most of the show is inside; however, even the parking lot outside the LVCC is jam packed with action.

From an enthusiasts view, one of the greatest attractions to SEMA is to witness the incredible talent from custom builders and restoration masters. An example is this truck created by Dave's Garage (http://davesgarage-hotrodshop.com/) in Simi Valley, CA. Tonka Toys tapped Dave's shoulder to build this great 1947 Chevy truck. According to Dave, Tonka will be taking the truck on world tours to help promote the Tonka brand. Since Dave's Garage is a local SoCal shop, we'll be dropping by after the show for an interview, photos, and video. We'll also post more photos in a separate article right here on AutoAdix.com
